Office Policies

This page outlines what you can expect from us and what we ask of you to support safe and consistent care at InFull Psychiatry.

Contacting Your Provider

At InFull Psychiatry, we aim to be as accessible as possible for our patients. If your provider is not immediately available by phone at (412) 520-3226, please leave a voicemail with your full name, date of birth, and a reliable callback number. Calls are typically returned within two business days. If your concern requires a medication adjustment, an appointment may be necessary.

Please do not use email or text messaging for urgent or emergency concerns. These methods are not monitored in real-time and may result in delayed responses.

If you are experiencing a psychiatric emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. InFull Psychiatry does not provide emergency or after-hours crisis services.

Medication Refill Requests

Before requesting a refill, please check with your pharmacy to see if any refills remain. If none are available, you may send a message through your patient portal to request a refill or by calling our office. Please allow up to two business days for processing.

Refill requests may require a scheduled appointment, especially if there are changes in your symptoms, side effects, or clinical needs.

You may ask your pharmacy to send a refill request on your behalf.

Controlled Substance Prescribing

Certain medications prescribed at InFull Psychiatry are classified as controlled substances and are regulated by state and federal law. These medications are prescribed only when clinically appropriate and require active participation in treatment and regular follow-up appointments.

Refills for controlled substances cannot be provided early, replaced if lost or stolen, or transferred between pharmacies. Prescription Drug Monitoring Program (PDMP) checks are completed prior to each prescription, and periodic urine drug screens may be required as part of safe prescribing practices.

Failure to comply with medication agreements or monitoring requirements may result in discontinuation of controlled substance prescriptions and, if appropriate, termination of care.

Prescription Transfers & Pharmacy Changes

Pharmacy changes and transfer requests must be made directly through your patient portal or discussed during an appointment. Mid-prescription transfers are not guaranteed and may delay medication access.

Please verify your preferred pharmacy before each refill request to avoid processing delays.

Missed Appointment & Late Cancellation Policy

To ensure fair access to care and maintain efficiency, we require 48 business hours’ notice for all cancellations or reschedules.

  • Initial Evaluation: $150 fee for missed or late-cancelled appointments
  • Follow-Up Appointments: $75 fee for missed or late-cancelled appointments

These fees are not billable to insurance and will be charged to the credit card on file.
If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, you may be asked to reschedule, and the late cancellation fee will apply.

For Monday appointments, cancellation must occur by the same hour on the preceding Thursday to avoid charges.

Repeated missed or late-cancelled appointments may result in termination of care at InFull Psychiatry.

Patients with Medicare or Medicaid are not charged missed appointment or late cancellation fees in accordance with federal and state guidelines. Repeated nonattendance may result in discharge from care..

Fees & Insurance

Our fees reflect the nature and complexity of the services provided and are subject to change with 60 days’ notice.

Payment is due at the time of service unless other arrangements have been made in advance. All patients are required to keep an active credit card on file for patient responsibility balances and applicable administrative fees. Upon request, we also accept cash, debit cards, HSA/FSA cards, or Electronic bank transfer (ACH).

  • Returned check fee: $50
  • You are responsible for any bank or third-party fees related to payment disputes or insufficient funds.

Please notify us of any changes to your payment method promptly. If you’re experiencing financial hardship, we may be able to arrange a payment plan. Speak with your provider or a team member for more information.

ADHD Testing

If you’ve struggled with focus, organization, or motivation, a structured ADHD evaluation can help bring clarity. Testing includes a detailed clinical interview and objective computerized assessment to measure attention, impulsivity, and activity levels.

When symptoms are complex or may overlap with learning differences or autism, a full neuropsychological evaluation is recommended for a comprehensive assessment.

Coverage and Payment:
Coverage for ADHD testing may vary by insurer. Therefore, this service is billed directly to the patient and payment is due at the time of service. A superbill can be provided for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Disability Paperwork

Patients must be established in care for at least six months before disability-related paperwork can be completed. This time allows for adequate evaluation, treatment, and documentation to support an accurate and clinically appropriate submission.

Some forms, such as Social Security Disability (SSDI/SSI), workers’ compensation, and short- or long-term disability through your employer, often require a specialist evaluation or your primary care provider’s input. In these cases, you may be referred back to the appropriate provider or agency managing your claim.

Form completion fees apply and are due at the time of request. Additional appointments may be required to ensure all clinical information is accurate and up to date.

Benzodiazepine Prescribing

Our practice limits the prescribing of benzodiazepines due to their risk of dependence and withdrawal. We prioritize safer, evidence-based treatment alternatives and use these medications only when clinically appropriate and closely monitored.

Court-Ordered Treatment and Legal Involvement

InFull Psychiatry does not provide court-ordered treatment, forensic evaluations, custody assessments, or legal testimony of any kind. Our clinicians do not appear in court, write letters for legal purposes, or offer opinions related to custody, disability, or litigation matters.

If a subpoena or legal request for records is received, we are legally required to comply with applicable laws. Only existing medical records will be released in accordance with HIPAA and Pennsylvania law. Administrative fees will apply for time spent retrieving and processing records.

Please note: Court-related requests, subpoenas, or record processing fees are not billable to insurance and are the patient’s responsibility.

Medical Records & Forms Requests

To request copies of your medical records, a signed Release of Information (ROI) form is required. Record requests are typically processed within 7–10 business days. Fees apply for administrative processing and for mailing printed records.

Completion of forms (such as FMLA, work accommodations, or return-to-work letters) may require an appointment to ensure accuracy and clinical appropriateness.

Form completion fees vary based on complexity and are due at the time of request.

Telehealth Services

InFull Psychiatry offers telehealth visits using secure, HIPAA-compliant video platforms. A stable internet connection and a private, distraction-free space are required. Telehealth is not appropriate for all clinical concerns, and your provider will advise when in-person care is recommended. By participating in telehealth, you consent to receive treatment via remote technologies.

Scope of Care

InFull Psychiatry provides outpatient psychiatric evaluation and medication management for adults and teens ages 14 and older.

We do not provide the following services:

  • Emergency or crisis stabilization
  • Court-ordered or forensic evaluations
  • Substance use disorder or detox treatment
  • Eating disorder treatment
  • Psychological or neuropsychological testing (patients may be referred out when needed)
  • Long-term psychotherapy

If your needs fall outside the scope of outpatient psychiatric care, we will provide referrals to appropriate providers or community resources.

Termination of Care

We reserve the right to discontinue care in certain circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Repeated missed or late appointments
  • Failure to follow treatment recommendations
  • Disruptive or abusive behavior
  • Non-payment of fees
  • Clinical needs exceeding the scope of care provided at InFull Psychiatry

When possible, advance notice and referrals will be provided. In cases of abrupt discontinuation (e.g., threatening behavior), care may be terminated immediately, with emergency resources offered.

Good Faith Estimate (Self-Pay Patients)

Under federal law, patients who are uninsured or not using insurance are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate outlining expected costs for medical services. This includes associated expenses like lab tests, prescriptions, and equipment.

You will receive a written estimate before your scheduled appointment, and you may also request one in advance.

Be sure to save a copy of your estimate for your records.
